Communications
VACANT

The Communications committee seeks to address all marketing needs for the chapter, including producing the newsletter and maintaining the website. This committee also prepares marketing materials for the annual conference.

Community Revitalization & Development
Matt Hess  - City of Glendale

The Community Revitalization and Development (CR&D) Committee addresses a broad range of issues related to the economic vitality of cities and the development and conservation of neighborhoods, including administrative, legislative, regulatory, and funding issues of community development programs and operations. The committee recommends policies to the Board of Governors in support of its primary goal - the achievement of well-planned, socially and economically sound communities.

Family Self-Sufficiency
Maria Moreno  - City of Yuma

The FSS Committee works to support and educate the FSS coordinators throughout Arizona. Functions of the committee include:

  • Assist in planning the FSS mid-year conference for FSS and ROSS coordinators
  • Oversee and manage the scholarship applications and winners for the AZ NAHRO Scholarship
  • Manage the silent auction for the AZ NAHRO annual conference
  • Coordinate the NAHRO poster contest for AZ NAHRO
  • Conduct surveys and prepare the FSS track for the AZ NAHRO annual conference

Finance
VACANT

The Finance Committee seeks to bring excellent, relevant and useful trainings and events that further the development of finance professionals. The Finance Committee is also charged with looking at policies and legislation related to funding and regulatory changes and impacts to the financial management of housing agencies, and make recommendations to the Board and the national NAHRO Finance Committee.

Housing
Karen Mofford - City of Glendale

The Housing Committee seeks to bring excellent, relevant and useful trainings and events that further the development of housing professionals. The Housing Committee is also charged with looking at policies and legislation related to funding and regulatory changes and impacts to the housing programs, and make recommendations to the Board and the national NAHRO Housing Committee.

Maintenance

Edward Jimenez - City of Tucson & Pima County Housing Authorities

The Maintenance Committee seeks to meet the needs of maintenance professionals by bringing relevant trainings and events to our members.


Member Services
Mayra Ruiz - City of Chandler

The Member Services Committee serves those interests of the members that cut across program and professional lines and represents the concerns of special interest groups within the membership. The committee addresses organizational issues such as constitutional change, dues structure, etc. It also works to coordinate supportive products and services by the Association, such as conferences, publications, insurance, member benefits, and awards.


Professional Development
Isaiah NorrisCity of Tucson & Pima County Housing Authorities

The goal of the Professional Development Committee is to provide comprehensive training sessions to all AZ NAHRO members on topics ranging from personal to specific-position related development as a Housing Professional. Training sessions consist of both general information sessions and certification, and serve to better not only the individual and the development of their career, but their organization and the administration of Housing and Community Development Programs as a whole.
